Hike up the tallest point of Surrey

On one misty Saturday morning, we decided to climb Leith Hill, the highest peak of Surrey - a whole 294 metres. It sounds onerous, but fortunately, it was just a quarter mile walk up from the nearest parking space.

A gentle introduction to climbing for me. Lots of wooden steps along the way. With a little help from mom, I managed to get to the top.

It was worth while, as the view was breathtaking.

Apparently on a clear day, you are able to see London, the English Channel and 13 counties from the tower.

Having a coffee break after all that climbing! (Or rather, a milk and cookies break.) There were lots of pretty shrubs and ferns growing by.

My little legs were too tired to descent, so I hitched a ride on daddy's taxi. You can see why, it's hard work.
