Hot Soup

Granpa brought us to Klang for the famous Bak Kut Teh. As you can see, it's just a pot of herbal soup with very tender pork ribs, mushrooms, etc.. Must be delicious, judging from the queues there. It was so crowded and hot, even on a Sunday morning. (We went after church.)
Finally we found a table by the pathway, in front of a closed shop. Much too hot for me to fall asleep too.
So granma and granpa took turns taking me for walks.. I came across this "Tai yee loong" advert.

Day trip to Seremban

Last Saturday, we drove down to Seremban for a short trip. We met granpa, granma, grand uncle and grand aunty, Uncle Lim and Aunty Eng Yee.
My two cousin brothers, David and Jon played with me too. They had Ampang Yong Tau Foo for lunch.
Can't wait till I get my set of teeth.. Mom thinks I might be there soon, signs of teething..

A gathering(s) of friends

A taste of the Penang

We made a short weekend trip to Penang last week. Granpa booked the Northam hotel for us, as he was worried of keeping our families awake if I chose to sing. We were enjoying the cartoons on tele.
My granpa celebrated his birthday with all my great grandmas.. and great grandaunt. The ladies all sat on one table, whilst the men occupied the other.




We went for a walk by Gurney beach early the next morning.


After sampling some local hawkers' hokkien mee and char kueh teow, we headed for my uncle's wedding in Butterworth.





I met my great grandfather there too, together with my great uncle's family.
Meanwhile, Uncle Alex, Uncle Kenny, Uncle Kevin and Uncle Christoff took to the stage, belting out to "Take me to your heart".

People everywhere

So many people to meet, so little time. I hope I can remember all their names the next time I see them.
Finally, Granma and I meet face to face. Although she came to UK, I didn't come out until after she left. We missed each other by half a day.


Here's Uncle Alex, mum's brother. He likes to tickle my tummy.
Granpa and granma came from Seremban for a day visit last week. Too bad I can't eat the wan tan mee and nasi lemak that they brought yet..



This is Aunty Melissa, mum and dad's good friend from college.

My other granpa here after he got home from work. He loves carrying me.


Here's Uncle Wai, grand uncle and grand aunty. They came to see me, but I was fast asleep. After they left, I was bright and wide eyed. So, mum called them back here. Is that naughtiness or what.. Hehe..

Touch down

I survived the 12 hour flight! Despite the one and a half hour delay, I was pretty calm, much to mom's relief. As well as other passengers. Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed my time on the plane. I had my own little sky cot called bassinet, where I spent hours staring at the no smoking light. Mom just left the mobile's music by my side to help me fall asleep at time. Maybe it was easier as it was a night flight, so I spent much of the time snoozing. There was another baby, 4 months old, on the flight. He's got further to go, as they were headed to Australia.

It was just the taking off and landing that I didn't like. It does things to my ears. At least the hum of the airplane was loud enough to disguise my cries. The air stewardesses were very kind to me too.

Uncle, granma and granpa were waiting for us at the airport. I met my cousin David too, for the first time. Here's mom and I back in my granpa's house.
