Daddy's Birthday

First celebrations with daddy darling on his birthday. I gave him a hug and a bug.. (I had a cold.) We made a trip to Guildford to find something for him. What trip to Guildford is complete without a stopover at Nando's?

Christmas lights are up too, as it's just around the corner now. How exciting!

First taste of real food

The last few nights have been sleepless, mainly recovering from jetlag, but more so, a sign that I am ready for real food! Mom attended a weaning class on Monday and realised that I am showing interest in their food, been waking up at night for more feeds, and looking for more food amongst my toys during the day. Hence, they introduced me to mashed banana for a starter. They did it for dinner as mom required dad's help. The first night was strange, as you can tell from the look on my face. It was messy too. So, it was a bathe immediately after. The second night was much better. I even opened my mouth in anticipation for the next mouthful, finishing a fifth of a banana. On the third day, dad took the bananas to work, so I had baby rice instead. Didn't fancy that very much though. Maybe if it's mixed with banana, I might like it..

Home Sweet Home

Sweet reunion with Daddy as he met us in the airport. We had a rough flight as I was down with the flu, so that made me a grumpy baby. Might have shared it with the guy next to us.
Barely slept the 13 hour journey, so mom didn't had much either.
Back into the cold crisp autumn air, I am all bundled up. It's good to be back though.
Dad missed both of us so much that he kept counting the days and hours till we came home. He even surprised mom with a digital piano on our return.

Last few days in Malaysia

My paternal grandparents from Seremban paid us a visit with granduncle.
Here are both grandmas pictured together.

Grandma and grandpa taking me for a shopping trip.
My grandfather has a special place in my heart.

Just like old times, plus one..

Meeting mom's pals from high school.
They had dinner in Laksa Shack, just to appease mom's fix for Assam Laksa whilst I snoozed.

Then they adjourned to Starbucks after that.

Happy Family

Some belated photos of my time in Seremban with my cousins and grandparents. Had a fab time as all were happy to carry me.

Tribute to Greatgrandpa

Today, I received the news of the departure of my greatgrandfather. I am glad that I had the chance to meet him this visit home. He had been a remarkable patriach, building his family from scratch after arriving from China to Malaya. He leaves behind a wife, 3 sons, 5 daughters,13 grandsons, 11 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, and 1 more on the way.
Here's during happier times, when he was still in the pink of health, and loved a good wholesome meal, taken at mom and dad's wedding.
