Day 3 Energized by another full English breakfast, we set off on a disused railway track by recommendation of our bed and breakfast hostess.

The railway was used to carry iron ores, pencils and bobbins until it became economically unviable to sustain in 1972. It passes the Greta gorge, and pleasant plains, secretly tuck away from mainstream tourists.

It was a 3.5 mile trek to Threlkeld, a small village - just has two pubs. We stopped by the first one. Very nice to just get away from it all..

Good reminders from these lambs to just graze in pastures and find rest in Him.

After some refreshments, we headed towards Keswick. There's a takeaway with one of the best battered fish and chips ever, called the Old Keswickian. You can see people sitting by the benches enjoying them.

It wasn't surprising that my first word was 'Duh-ckkh, Qua -ckhh', after coming across all these ducks. We are at Derwent Lake, just by Keswick town.

There was a lovely park with miniature golf and crazy golf by the lake.

I found an alternative use of a sundial. It comes in handy as a sun seat too.
