Celebrated my birthday the day before and the day after the actual day as both mom and I fell sick on the day itself. This year my birthday coincided with Father's day. 
Like my birthday cake? Mom actually ordered an Elmo cake pan for me, but it never arrived, so a lady bird came to the rescue, courtesy of M&S..
We went to Zizzi's for lunch. The garlic bread and cheese garlic bread are highly recommended. After that, both mom and Uncle Joost started coughing. At first they thought it was the coffee, as only both of them had coffee. Later, they traced it down to the chilli oil which seem a slight more plausible culprit.
Meet Chocolate Uncle! Aptly named, after giving Carmen a box of freshly made block of choccies.. not by him though. 
Not sure what story Choc uncle was telling here, but it seemed fascinating..
Dress of bobbing crimson poppies was mom's gift. It reminds her of the poppies along the road to work each morning.
I am just read a birthday card from Samuel. Aunty Kim made my birthday extra special with the birthday balloon, given at church that morning. Check out the shoes from Aunty Eng Hong. Cool huh?
