A day out at Bird World

Dad and mom brought me to Bird World last Sunday. It was a gorgeous day, with blue skies and puffy white clouds.

We saw many birds, large and small, flamingoes and parrots. The eagles, vultures and owls were much larger than I imagined. But, the kookaburras were more amiable.


The highlight of the afternoon was the feeding session for penguins. The care keepers had to wear wellingtons to avoid having their ankles pecked by the penguins.


I particularly enjoyed the Jenny Wren farm where farm animals roam around.

I was quite fascinated with the hens and turkeys. There were rabbits, pigs, lambs and ducks.

And a kid too, that seemed to tag me about. Some children mustered enough courage to pet the animals but I was happy to stay put where I was.

There was an underwater world as well, with alligators and Nemos, ie. clown fishes. Here's me with daddy. These chimes look lovely to pull..
